The Blowout is put on each year to bring
together all bikers and motorcycle enthusiast from
across the land for four days of partying. The
blowout is the kickoff party for the tourist season on
the Mississippi Gulf Coast and an opportunity to show
off that Iron Horse you are so proud of. It offers the
camaraderie and brotherhood of the motorcycle club world
to all who seek an extended family. The Blowout offers
the opportunity to show and share the southern
hospitality that we are world famous for and to support
the community and as many charitable agencies as we can
with the help of each and every one of you. It is people
helping people across the area and without each other it
is not possible. So come party with us for four days of
exciting motorcycle events, racing, live music and the
opportunity to visit with motorcycle related venders who
offer the latest in biker apparel and accessories.
Asgard Motorcycle Club and Gulfport Drag way invite you,

vendors, buy that motorcycle part or accessory you have been
looking for or just get a snowball and enjoy the 100
acre party site. Leave all attitudes at the gate and

The Blowout was conceived in 1983 by
the
ASGARD Motorcycle Club. The first one
was the Independence day Blowout (4th of July,
1983) at a motorcycle shop within the area of
approximately 4 acres. (Harley-Davidson,
Ocean Springs, MS. The shop is no longer
there). We found that July is too hot and
wet for outdoor events such as ours and we
needed more room and control. An ideal
friendship was formed between the
ASGARD MC and Charles D. Reese (owner of
Gulfport Dragway), Oluf Zierl (former editor
of the local biker bulletin (SSB), Gene Stewart
of Rex Distributors (Budweiser Brewing Co.) and
Vincent Creel (editor of the Marquee of the Sun
Herald). The details worked out and
by the third Blowout we switched to the
Gulfport Dragway and the date was changed to
the end of May (Memorial Day), which also
symbolized the beginning of summer activities.
Because of the charitable donations
thru your participation at the Blowout,
the Mayors of the cities of Biloxi, Gulfport,
Ocean Springs, D'Iberville, Long Beach, Pass
Christian, Waveland and Bay Saint Louis proclaim
Asgard Motorcycle Club Day in each of their
cities annually and we THANK each of you for
your support.
